ABOUT

In the mood of colours
Lex Melony is a Ukrainian British photographer and filmmaker with a distinct, emotional eye. As an emigrant, he brings a personal sense of depth and care to every frame, shaped by distance, memory, and the search for truth.
His work focuses on how people feel, not just how they look. Whether it’s a portrait, a live event, or something more conceptual, he captures moments that are alive with presence. Lex looks for gestures, body language, the in-between seconds, the quiet honesty that tells you who someone really is.

He specialises in portrait photography, event coverage, and intimate art-erotic photoshoots. He works with natural light, bold colour, and framing that reveals rather than hides. His images are direct, expressive, and human. He adapts to each person and setting with intuition and attention, making space for people to be seen.
Lex’s creative practice goes beyond photography. He is also a film director and founder of LEXME.RED, a production company focused on bold queer storytelling and underrepresented voices. He produces the Queer Spotlight Podcast Talk Show, programs the OFN LGBTQIA+ Film Festival in London, and serves as Art Director of The Flicker Magazine.
Whether he is behind the camera or building a larger project, Lex brings the same vision to all his work. He cares about honesty, emotion, and creating something that connects.
